Are you ready for more upside-down UK weather? The experts are predicting another heatwave starting on Bank Holiday Monday, so we’re getting in early and helping with a few sure thing heatproof fashion tips for staying cool when you’re out and about this Monday…
Don’t sweat it – get airy
When the heat rises, the floaty maxi dresses come out. They are perfect for summertime days (and nights out) and they keep you cool all day long. Most summery maxi frocks tend to be strappy of sleeve so don’t fret if it starts to get chilly around dusk, or the mozzies come out, just pop on some Wingz underneath and you can stretch your day wear into evening wear with ease.
Opt for a pretty floral maxi dress for a relaxed day out and add some of this season’s strappy sandals or boho wedges to keep it cool and chilled. During the day, if the heat is really on, add a wide brimmed sun hat and some mini round sunnies for maximum style points.
Cover up when the sun goes down
Look for loose fitting summer pieces that don’t crease for picnics in the park or hot May days on the beach. Try a slip dress with a loose floaty shirt over the top if the cardigan look isn’t stylish enough for your girls’ day out. Or just add Wingz.
Keep it simple
Summertime calls for easy style and simple dressing, so another heatproof fashion tip is that less is more. If it’s hot in the city and you have heaps to do, just keep it basic and throw on a vest top, cropped jeans and flats during the day. You can go from day to night by adding heels and some funky accessories, with glitz and glamour being the go-to look for spring and summer 2018 there are plenty of bright options to pick from on the high street.
Find your summer style and stick to it
Get yourself organised and decide on your key summer looks before the heat really IS on. Are you going to be a strappy dress and wedges kinda girl or will you be in cropped jeans and a tee? Perhaps you’re thinking of cool, fresh linen – it’s everywhere this season and looks great on everybody. Once you have your ideas for a basic summer wardrobe in place you can dress it up or down with different accessories, shoes and bags, add a splash of colour and play around with it. But it makes packing for a weekend break a WHOLE lot easier.
If you’re looking for a way to change up your summer look cheaply, why not go for the Wingz option? Lace Wingz are currently just £14.99 and there are other styles to choose from too, all perfect for summer – they are our heatproof fashion tip for summer 2018…
