It’s an innovation in shape wear alright – Naturally Close has surpassed itself and brought out a new strapless bra in sizes up to a magnificent 42Lor a 50DD! It was reported in the news that the bra actually catered for up to a size 50L, which really would have been pretty amazing, but I think the media might have been getting their cup and back sizes in a twist to come up with that.
I haven’t dared venture out in public in a strapless bra/dress since I was an impressive but not quite that impressive 38F. I remember that it took me ages and several aborted shopping trips to find a bra I felt even ALMOST comfortable in, and the one I found wasn’t ideal. I decided to stop trying; it felt as if the lingerie designed to support and enhance a bigger bust didn’t, it simply pinched and let everything droop, so I gave up on the idea of ever wearing anything without a bit of construction support to stop unwanted appearances of my cleavage over the tops of dresses…I used to have nightmares about the outfit falling down and revealing far too much.
Reviews of the latest gravity-defying plus Ava Multiway Bra by Shapely Figures seem to be quite favourable. The bra has silicone elastic under the band and around the neckline to keep it in place, and boning in the sizes to give a nice shape, so they’ve thought it through. People who’ve bought it are saying;
“Bought to aid hang of dress for wedding. Worn for 19 hours and still as comfortable at the end of the day as when put on first thing that day. Couldn’t find a fault with it.”
Another strapless bra that’s getting good reviews is the Elomi Maria which comes in sizes up to a 48DD and looks absolutely fabulous on, if the review by Georgina at Fuller Figure Fuller Bust is anything to go by. George, who really knows her stuff when it comes to reviewing lingerie, raved about it, saying that it gave her natural 36H curves an ‘awesome’ shape and that it really supported her. You can wear this one with straps too, and change them around so that you can wear it under different back styled tops, halters, one strap, racers, whatever you need.
